ACP Credit I SCA SICAV-RAIF, advised by ACP Credit Advisory Sp. z o.o., is pleased to announce it has exited its investment in Punkta Group, a platform of 13 businesses spanning four countries combining distribution and insurance services for corporate clients with multi-channel insurance sales for retail customers. The exit was successfully executed through two parallel prepayments: the retail business of Punkta Group was sold to CUK Ubezpieczenia, and the corporate business was sold to Innova Capital.

ACP Credit I’s May 2023 investment comprised a joint and several loan to four of Punkta’s insurance entities and refinanced a significant acquisition which had previously been fully equity-funded. In structuring the EUR 10 million first-lien loan, ACP Credit was able to respond creatively to the requirements of Punkta Group and of its owners regarding the repayment profile, covenant structure and security, highlighting ACP Credit’s client focus and flexibility. The facility’s structure specifically reflected Punkta Group’s ambitious growth plans, as executed by its leadership team.

Mariusz Grendowicz, Executive Partner at ACP Credit, said: “We were delighted to have been invited into the capital structure of this fast-growing company backed by a strong British private equity firm. Our collective experience in backing businesses meant we could bring rich and diverse experience to devise a solution compatible with the nuanced needs of a growing company.”

Bartosz Chytła, Punkta’s CEO, commented: “The strong support from Pollen Street as a sponsor and ACP Credit as a financier helped us to grow more quickly than we would have otherwise been able to. Both parties understood the unique needs of a growing business and supported our plans.”

David Dawson, Partner at Pollen Street Capital, said: “The co-operation between Punkta and ACP Credit was very positive as they looked at the business holistically, took the time to understand its ambitions, and then crafted a structure that would support it. We are grateful for their partnership on this transaction.”

It represents a natural extension of ACP Group’s long-standing private debt platform.

With investments of €5 to 15 million per deal, the fund offers tailored senior-secured debt solutions, deploying the full suite of senior credit products and investing primarily through first lien and unitranche facilities.
